Our Method

Our Unique Approach To Tick Control

We take a unique approach to tick control. We arrive to your property and do a perimter spray around the yard, gardens, patios and/or anywhere else that we may find ticks located. Every time you cut your grass or trim your trees, the product we applied disappears. Also, extended periods of rainfall lower the efficacy of the product. Therefore, treating your yard once a year is enough to significantly reduce the tick population in your yard. Learn more about our approach.

INITIAL INSPECTION

A trained specialist will perform an inspection to examine the size of your yard and the density of your foliage through seeing your property on google earth. This step will help us set a final price!

Upon arrival, your technician will also look for signs of ticks or mosquitoes and identify potential breeding grounds.

EXTERIOR TREATMENT

Your technician will then safely treat your entire yard with a tick treatment, targeting trees, bushes, shrubs, and other heavily wooded areas. We’ll then return between Spring and Fall to inspect and treat your yard once again.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Can’t find your answer? Our team is always happy to help.

ARE TICKS DANGEROUS?
They can be! Ticks are known as one of the most dangerous pests and for a good reason. Some species transmit insect-borne diseases like Lyme Disease. But you don’t need to worry; our tick control service targets these blood-suckers, so they don’t target you. To schedule your first service.
Our tick control service lasts 3-4 weeks on average. Of course, this depends on how often it rains and which treatment option you choose: our synthetic option lasts much longer than the eco-friendly alternative. So we recommend scheduling your treatments every 21 days during the warmer months to protect your family from ticks.

    • Wear long sleeves and pants outdoors.
    • Put on insect repellent with DEET on bare skin.

Rodent control works by sealing holes and using traps that catch them safely. Spider control cuts down webs near doors and treats hidden spots where spiders live. Wasp nests are risky; wasp control stops stings and allergic reactions quickly.

Boxelders harm plants and buildings if ignored. Special treatments target these bugs without hurting helpful animals or pollinators nearby.

  • Ants need targeted ant control.
  • Fleas require special flea control steps.
  • Rodents get caught through humane trapping.
  • Spiders lose their webs near entrances.
  • Wasps get controlled before they build nests.
  • Boxelders face careful removal.

Effective Treatments for Mosquito Control and Other Common Pests

Mosquito infestations spike in warm weather in Waterloo. They bring bites that might spread diseases like West Nile virus. Mosquito control uses safe larvicides in standing water and sprays around yards to cut numbers down fast.

We check often to find breeding spots so we can change treatments when needed. These steps make outdoor areas safer so families enjoy outside time without fear.

Other pests like crickets or earwigs do well with insect plans that mix changing their homes with careful treatment. This way, fewer chemicals get used but pests still drop.

Protecting Your Property from Rodent Control, Ant Control, and More

Many pests hide in your home besides the usual ones:

  • Centipedes like damp basement spots.
  • Millipedes come inside during wet times.
  • Sowbugs live under mulch or leaves near walls.
  • Firebrats hide in warm cracks by appliances.
  • Silverfish eat paper products indoors.
  • German cockroaches grow fast needing strong treatment.
  • Crickets enter as it gets cold looking for warmth.
  • Earwigs group around wet garden beds hurting plants.

Combining rodent control with special ant control keeps your home safe and stops annoying pests before they cause damage or health risks.

Dealing with all these bugs means your property stays protected all year. We use proven methods that last instead of quick fixes that don’t hold up.

The Mosquito Man Process for Effective Tick Control

Stopping ticks starts with a good pest inspection and figuring out what kind they are. Knowing the type of ticks on your property helps stop them before they spread. The process uses thorough inspections, plans made just for you, and proven methods that fit your situation in Waterloo.

The steps include:

  • Regular pest inspections

Ticks like certain places to live. Tick prevention in Waterloo helps keep your family and pets safe. Knowing about tick habitat management cuts down risks by focusing on where ticks like to hide. This way, you can target pest elimination strategies better.

Landscaping Practices to Minimize Tick Habitats

Ticks in yard areas gather where plants grow thick and the ground stays damp. To stop tick infestation, try these backyard pest control steps that remove common pest breeding sites:

  • Cut grass short and clean up leaves often.
  • Get rid of brush and tall weeds near fences or gardens.
  • Put wood chips or gravel between woods and lawns.

These landscaping moves are part of integrated pest management. They cut down good spots for ticks while keeping your yard healthier.

Personal Protection for Outdoor Activities
