what we offer

Our Tick Control Packages

Outdoor Tick Control

Get 2 scheduled tick-control treatments every 90 days. We target leaf litter, shaded landscaping, fence lines and other areas where ticks may wait for people and pets.

Our Method

Our Unique Approach To Tick Control

We take a unique approach to tick control. We arrive to your property and do a perimter spray around the yard, gardens, patios and/or anywhere else that we may find ticks located. Every time you cut your grass or trim your trees, the product we applied disappears. Also, extended periods of rainfall lower the efficacy of the product. Therefore, treating your yard once a year is enough to significantly reduce the tick population in your yard. Learn more about our approach.

INITIAL INSPECTION

A trained specialist will perform an inspection to examine the size of your yard and the density of your foliage through seeing your property on google earth. This step will help us set a final price!

Upon arrival, your technician will also look for signs of ticks or mosquitoes and identify potential breeding grounds.

EXTERIOR TREATMENT

Your technician will then safely treat your entire yard with a tick treatment, targeting trees, bushes, shrubs, and other heavily wooded areas. We’ll then return between Spring and Fall to inspect and treat your yard once again.

Frequently Asked Questions

ARE TICKS DANGEROUS?
They can be! Ticks are known as one of the most dangerous pests and for a good reason. Some species transmit insect-borne diseases like Lyme Disease. But you don’t need to worry; our tick control service targets these blood-suckers, so they don’t target you. To schedule your first service.
Our tick control service lasts 3-4 weeks on average. Of course, this depends on how often it rains and which treatment option you choose: our synthetic option lasts much longer than the eco-friendly alternative. So we recommend scheduling your treatments every 21 days during the warmer months to protect your family from ticks.

Understanding the Tick Challenge in Lakeshore

The Growing Tick Presence in Lakeshore

Ticks are showing up more often in Lakeshore. This means more tick infestations during the year. Ticks become very active when the weather is warm. People spend more time outside then, so tick problems grow.

Managing outdoor pests well helps keep families safe. Watching your yard regularly helps spot tick hot spots. This way, you can act early and stop ticks before they get worse.

  • Ticks come out mostly in spring and summer.
  • Checking your lawn helps control pest population.
  • Taking action early limits tick risks.

Understanding the Local Tick Challenge

Common Tick Species in the Lakeshore Area

Two ticks are common around Lakeshore: deer ticks and blacklegged ticks. Deer ticks often carry Lyme disease. Blacklegged ticks also spread some illnesses. Knowing their lifecycle helps you fight ticks better.

Here’s how a tick grows:

  • Eggs: Female ticks lay eggs that hatch later.
  • Larvae: These tiny larvae feed on small birds or animals.
  • Nymphs: After molting, nymphs look for bigger hosts like people or pets.
  • Adults: Adult ticks mate and lay new eggs to start again.

Health Risks from Ticks Affecting Lakeshore Residents

Ticks can spread serious diseases to people here. Lyme disease is a big worry because it causes bad symptoms if untreated. Other illnesses like anaplasmosis and babesiosis can also harm you.

Knowing these risks makes it clear why you need tick protection all the time. Don’t ignore small bites or rash spots after being outdoors.

Local Environmental Factors that Attract Ticks

Ticks love certain spots near water in Lakeshore. These places make perfect homes and breeding grounds for them.

Why do ticks stay there?

  • Moist areas keep ticks safe under leaves or grass.
  • Wild animals like deer bring adult ticks close by.
  • Thick bushes give young ticks hiding places while they wait for hosts.

Knowing these facts helps you manage your yard better. Keep grass trimmed and clear brush to lower tick chances. You might want to ask experts who know about tick control in lakeside areas like this one!
